My Sewing class
I am now in the middle of Machon Yael’s 16 week sewing course (taught in Hebrew) and I find myself increasing in appreciation with each session.
Each Tuesday mid-morning is a bright and sunny get-away time during a routine workweek.
I have taken other courses before, but this course is as different to me as a walk on a city sidewalk is from going on an outing down a country lane.
I always come back home refreshed and filled with energy to create a new dress or garment.
Why Is it so energizing for me?
I think it is because the teaching is very thorough and very clear on even the smallest detail.
Most of all, everything-the presentation of the lesson itself, the cloth, the tools, the written instructions, the video classes upstairs available if you missed a class-all these essentials are organized in a logical and clear order.
It is the most clean and organized classroom I have ever experienced.
The classroom atmosphere created by Yael instills me with a strong confidence that I can actually do what she teaches us.
Now, I don’t make mistakes that would normally take me hours to undo.
I never feel confused, even in difficult layouts, because the way the lesson on the week’s project is laid out. They are as clear and as a straight and level road before you in the morning sun.
Yael’s strong positive influence by being very clear and very patient has made sewing simply a joy.
I recommend Macon Yael’s sewing classes to both the beginner and to the professional.
Yael, after 30 years of teaching since youth, says she is still learning-every day is fresh.
